Este premio marca otro hito en el compromiso de Mireya Blavia de Cisneros y la Fundación Latin GRAMMY® con la protección y difusión de las expresiones musicales tradicionales de las comunidades indígenas, promoviendo la investigación y preservación en el marco de proyectos internacionales como Fulbright Amazonia.

Mireya Blavia de Cisneros, destacada directiva de la Fundación Cultural Latin GRAMMY®, entregó un importante premio a Daniel Bustos-Echeverry de Colombia por su innovador proyecto de investigación, "Cantos de la Amazonía no-visible". Esta iniciativa, que forma parte de los esfuerzos de la Fundación para preservar la música tradicional, se enfoca en la conservación de las canciones ceremoniales, melodías y versos de las mujeres siona, un pueblo indígena amazónico en riesgo de desaparecer tanto física como culturalmente.

El proyecto "Cantos de la Amazonía no-visible" se destaca por su investigación musical y etnográfica, analizando las condiciones sociales que permiten la continuidad de estas expresiones musicales únicas, que han sido marginadas con el tiempo. Las mujeres siona, desplazadas del liderazgo en ceremonias del yagé, encuentran en este proyecto una oportunidad para revalorizar sus voces. Los resultados se integrarán dentro del prestigioso programa de investigación Fulbright Amazonia, promoviendo un camino hacia la preservación cultural y musical de esta comunidad.
